Hi. I'm Paul, the Owner of ProTrain Firearms, and I am passionate about helping others learn about guns and gun safety. Read on to learn about what inspired me to start this company, and my qualifications as a firearm instructor.

I designed a unique firearms instruction course to provide a comprehensive learning experience for beginners, in a safe and comfortable enironment.

I started ProTrain Firearms because I truly enjoy teaching people how to shoot and make them feel comfortable, while still respecting firearms on a basic level. I notice that many people are interested in firearms, but don't have a background or know where to get started. During my UTM instructor course, I noticed that providing effective training to anyone was possible, IF it was conducted in in a safe manner and environment. So I designed a unique firearms instruction course to provide a comprehensive learning experience for beginners. Utilizing UTM products provides a way to train a beginner or someone that is scared, in an environment that is safe and non intimidating. There is a serious need for this type of training because it provides convenience and safety. Furthermore, I am able to provide 1 on 1 or group training in a "crawl walk run" method and not have to worry about fighting the noise of other firearms going off around where a person's attention will focus more on the noise and the fear.

EXPERIENCE

When it comes to selecting the right firearms instructor, it’s vital to choose someone who makes you feel safe, comfortable and at ease. In addition, it’s important to select someone with relevant experience and expertise. I have highlighted my experience below which began in 2000 in the United States Air Force.

 

  • 2000- 2013 USAF Security Forces / Combat Arms Training and Maintenance- 13 Yrs active duty (7 yrs Law Enforcement / 6 yrs Instructor)
  • 2013-Current NRA Instructor Basic Rifle / Pistol / Shotgun / Home Firearms Safety
  • 2013-2014 Coastal International Security Guard then became an instructor at Protective Service Training Academy
  • 2014-2020 USAF Combat Arms Instructor as a Civilian Government Employee
  • 2016 UTM Master Instructor
  • 2022 UTM Professional Training Organization Certified
